🌍 Native: Dendrobium Burana Sundae is a man-made hybrid; parent species of Dendrobium are native to Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Pacific islands.

⛰️ Elevations: Adaptable to low and mid-elevation conditions

🪴 Size: Medium-sized plant, reaching about 10-18 inches (25-45 cm) tall when mature

🎍 Perfect for Terrariums? Not ideal for closed terrariums; prefers good air circulation and space to grow

☀️ Blooming Season: Typically blooms in spring and summer, but may flower at other times under optimal conditions

🌸 Bloom Size and Color: Produces medium-sized blooms (~2-3 inches) in shades of pink, purple, and yellow with variegated foliage that enhances its visual appeal

👃 Fragrance: Generally not fragrant

  • Summer: (☀️ High 27-32°C / Low 20-22°C)

💧 Watering: Water abundantly during growth phase (spring to late summer), ensuring the roots dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in late fall and winter when the plant enters dormancy.

💡 Light: Bright, indirect light; can tolerate some morning or late afternoon sun. Avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf burn.

🌰 Growing Medium: Well-draining medium, such as a mix of bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss. Can also be grown mounted with regular misting if humidity is maintained.

🧪 Fertilization: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (20-20-20) every two weeks during active growth (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter to once a month or discontinue entirely during dormancy.
