Pot 3.0"
The Paphiopedilum spicerianum × sib is a sibling cross of the iconic Himalayan slipper orchid, producing 7-9cm "spinning top" flowers with white-striped dorsal sepals and burgundy pouches. Thriving in cool 20-24°C summer temperatures with winter nights at 10-15°C, this intermediate-level orchid demands calcium-rich water (pH 6.5-7.0) and terrestrial fine mix. Its distinctive twisted petals and tessellated foliage make it instantly recognisable, while autumn blooms provide winter interest. Though rare in cultivation due to habitat protection, sibling crosses offer sustainable alternatives to wild-collected plants. Provide consistent moisture and dappled light (1,000-1,800 lux) to mimic its native cloud forest conditions.
These care guidelines are based on general information and may need adjustments based on your specific growing conditions and the needs of your individual plant.
