🌍 Native: Phalaenopsis orchids are originally native to Southeast Asia, including regions like the Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia. (Note: Phal. Meidarland Chambe is a hybrid and does not grow in the wild)

⛰️ Elevations: Generally low elevations, as with most Phalaenopsis hybrids

🪴 Size: Medium-sized plant, typical of Phalaenopsis hybrids

🎍 Perfect for Terrariums? Not ideal for closed terrariums; better suited for open orchid displays or pots, as they require good airflow.

☀️ Blooming Season: Primarily late winter to early spring, though hybrids can sometimes bloom multiple times a year under optimal conditions.

🌸 Bloom Size and Color: Medium to large blooms, with shades that may vary from pink and white to purple, depending on the cultivar.

👃 Fragrance: Typically not fragrant

🌡 Temperature:

  • Summer☀️: 26–30°C (78–86°F) during the day / 18–22°C (64–72°F) at night
  • Winter❄️: 22–26°C (72–78°F) during the day / 16–18°C (60–64°F) at night

💧 Watering: Water every 5-7 days, allowing the medium to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid water pooling in the crown to prevent rot.

☁️ Humidity: 50-70%, with good airflow to prevent fungal and bacterial issues.

💡 Light: Low to medium indirect light. Bright, indirect light is ideal, avoiding direct sun which can burn the leaves.

🌰 Growing Medium: Well-draining medium, such as orchid bark mix or sphagnum moss. Repot every 1-2 years to refresh medium and ensure healthy roots.

🧪 Fertilization: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (such as 20-20-20) at half-strength every 2 weeks during the growing season. Reduce to monthly in the winter.
